Documents Required for Registration

  • The official high school diploma
  • The official transcript of records showing all courses and grades taken in the entire high school education. (Translated into Turkish or English)
  • The “Equivalency Certificate”, which verifies the equivalency of your High School Diploma to a Turkish High School Diploma, can be obtained either from the Turkish Embassy at your home country or from the Ministry of Education in Turkey, after your arrival.

    Please find the list of Turkish Consulates / Embassies where you can apply for equivalency certificate. If your country is not on the list, please provide the following documents for your Equivalency Certificate.
    • The original and the copy of high school diploma (translated into English or Turkish by certified translators)
    • Transcript of records for all the years of high school education (should show the credit hours and grades and be translated into English or Turkish by certified translator)
    • The original and the copies of the residency permit in Turkey or education visa
    • The original and the copy of the passport page with photo
    If you have Cambridge or Pearson Certificates, you are required to submit documents confirming either of the following three options (a or b or c);
    a. 2 A levels + 3 O levels (GCSE) minimum grade D
    b. 2 A levels + 1 AS level + 2 O levels (GCSE) minimum grade D
    c. 3 A levels + 1 O levels (GCSE) minimum grade D
  • Original national or International examination result (Please click the link for more information)
  • Original certificate of the English language proficiency test score (Please click the link for more information)
  • Original Turkish language test score (For international students who will study in Turkish Programmes) (Please click the link for more information)
  • Original and the copy of your passport pages including picture, identification information and visa stamp
  • 2 biometric photographs
  • Tuition fee payment receipt
  • Birth Certificate for Students who are under 18 years old by the time of the registration (Please click the link for more information)
  • Official ‘Acceptance Letter’ sent by the Istanbul Okan University
  • Full coverage Health insurance. You may get further assistance from the International Students Office staff during your registration
