About the Department

MENU

Our department is listed in the "Higher Education Programs and Quotas Guide" in two sections, both in Turkish and English. Both of our programs are based on the numerical score type (SAY). In our English-medium program, a one-year English Preparatory Course is mandatory. Students who pass the Preparatory Class at the end of the academic year begin their four-year undergraduate education at the start of the next academic year. Students placed in the Turkish program start their four-year undergraduate education in the year they are placed.

Our four-year education program is designed to ensure that our students grow in alignment with our vision and mission, with most of the courses selected from the field of information technology.

The subjects covered by the courses in the field of information technology include:

  • Algorithm
  • Programming
  • Object-Oriented Programming
  • Visual Programming
  • Internet Programming
  • Mobile Device Software Development (Android, iOS)
  • Data Structures
  • Databases (Microsoft SQL, Oracle SQL / PLSQL)
  • Data Mining, Machine Learning
  • Operating Systems (Windows, Linux)
  • Robotic Programming (Arduino, Raspberry PI)
  • Industry 4.0
  • Computer Networks, Network Switching, and Routing (CISCO)
  • Cybersecurity

In addition, courses such as Organizational Behavior, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Business, and Entrepreneurship help our students develop in the field of management sciences.

Our curriculum is designed to integrate theoretical and practical knowledge, with most of the IT courses being taught in a practical, hands-on manner. The program is updated in parallel with technological developments and current requirements. Within the framework of our 'Preparation for Business Life' and 'Internship' programs, students are encouraged to complete mandatory or voluntary internships. Additionally, students have the opportunity for both domestic and international internships and part-time working opportunities.

Students have the chance to pursue a double major or minor in collaboration with other departments within our university. They can also participate in the Erasmus program and continue their studies in Europe for one or two semesters. In addition to English language training, students can also choose a second foreign language, such as German, Arabic, Chinese, or Russian, during their studies.
