According to data from the Airports Council International, Turkey ranks 7th among the top 20 countries in terms of total passenger handling capacity and is poised to climb even higher in the future. It is a strong candidate to become the sixth country with the highest passenger volume after China, the U.S., India, Indonesia, and Spain.

Thanks to its geographical location and its national flag carrier Turkish Airlines, which has earned global recognition, Turkey has rightfully secured a place in the aviation sector. Aviation in Turkey will continue to develop in the future, and the need for qualified human resources will keep increasing.

Through internship opportunities and an academic staff composed of experienced professionals from the aviation field, the department provides students with the professionalism and problem-solving skills necessary for their careers and helps them achieve their career goals.

Given that global air traffic volume has reached 400 take-offs per hour—based only on scheduled commercial aircraft—it is clear how crucial the aviation sector is in contributing to social and economic development as well as offering sustainable solutions, and this trend is expected to continue growing.
