ERASMUS+ Inclusion and Diversity Strategy
The Erasmus+ program aims to ensure equal opportunities, access, inclusion, diversity, and fairness in all its activities. In this context, ensuring the equal participation of individuals with various barriers (social, economic, physical, psychological, etc.) in projects is of particular importance.
Erasmus+ Inclusion and Diversity Support
Participants with special needs are individuals who cannot participate in the program without additional financial support. Support may include:
Additional Grant
An additional grant may be provided for participants with special needs in the areas of physical or mental health. This grant may exceed standard grants to compensate for encountered difficulties and is based on actual costs.
Supplementary Grant Support
Disadvantaged participants may be awarded a supplementary grant in addition to their main grant. This includes:
Grant Amounts:

| Student mobility (2–12 months) | €250 per month |
| Short-term (5–14 days) | +€100 added to total daily grant |
| Short-term (15–30 days) | +€150 added to total daily grant |
Note: Scholarships from the Student Credit and Dormitories Institution or merit-based scholarships are not included in this category.
How to Apply
Submit your Erasmus+ special needs support request to the Istanbul Okan University Erasmus Institutional Coordination Office (Istanbul) by mail. Applications are submitted together with the Office and evaluated by the Turkish National Agency.
Inclusion Officer
The Inclusion Officer ensures that participants with limited opportunities have equal access to projects under the Istanbul Okan University Erasmus+ Program.
