Dear Students,
Over the past 26 years, our University has been a pioneer of many firsts in Turkish higher education. When we embarked on our journey with the goal of establishing a modern, liberal, and globally minded university committed to the principles of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, we had only 85 students. In a short time, however, we achieved numerous milestones and took great pride in reaching our goals one by one.
Continuing its journey with the vision of being “the university closest to business life,” our University now serves more than 20,000 students. Our alumni community has surpassed 60,000 graduates. Most importantly, our students graduate with the knowledge, skills, and competencies needed to find employment anywhere in the world.
Throughout these 26 years, we have introduced many pioneering initiatives. Through our Entrepreneurship Course, which we launched for the first time in Türkiye, we have brought together some of the most influential business leaders from Türkiye and around the world with our students—and we continue to do so.
With its 11 faculties, 2 vocational schools, Graduate School, and Conservatory, supported by a strong academic staff, our University offers educational programs in the fields most needed by the business world. We were also the first university in Türkiye to implement the Career and Life Program and the Happy Life courses, which help students develop socially and personally.
In addition to these innovations, we have made significant investments in healthcare education. Through the Istanbul Okan University Hospital in Tuzla and our Dental Hospitals in Mecidiyeköy and Tuzla, we provide our students with valuable hands-on training opportunities while also delivering healthcare services to society.
As Istanbul Okan University, we are not merely an institution that grants diplomas. We prepare our students for life and the future, equipping them with the vision of becoming global citizens. Through the education we provide, our second-language opportunities, and the social, cultural, and sporting experiences we offer, we support our students in becoming responsible citizens who will serve our country in the best possible way.
