Dear Faculty Members,

“Staff Mobility for Teaching” is a type of mobility under the Erasmus+ program which is funded by the European Commission and provides funds for short-term teaching visits by faculty members to partner institutions. At Okan University, this program is coordinated by the Office of International Programs.

Eligibility
You must be a full-time faculty member at Okan University to take part in this program.Please note that the minimum number of teaching hours required is 8 hours. The minimum number of days to stay is two, and the maximum is five. It is expected that your teaching hours are evenly balanced during the time of your stay. The program should be detailed on a daily basis in the Staff Mobility Agreement for Teaching. Faculty members and the academic units who have not participated in teaching mobility before will be given priority in the evaluations. In order to be able to take part in this mobility, there should be an agreement between the host institution and Okan University.

Funding
Daily Grant

The grant of the project are determined by the National Agency, based on instructions by the European Commission. The “Country Groups” shows the amount of support provided per day per country.

Travel Grant
The amount of travel grants according to the distance calculated by the European Commission's Distance Calculator.

The grant amount is not intended to cover all expenses incurred while abroad, and no separate payment is made for those expenses.

There is no grant payment made for days when there is no activity.

Any faculty member wishing to do so may take part in the mobility without requesting financial support. Faculty who wish to participate in the program without a grant should apply, and their applications will be reviewed. Participants who receive no grants must fulfill the program's rights and obligations.

*Applies to green travel vehicles (train, bus, shared car, boat). Except for plane and ship travel, *Green travel methods encompass all modes of transportation (train, bus, shared vehicle use, bicycle, boat, etc.). In order for participants to be paid green travel support:

  • Making the main element of travel by using environmentally friendly travel methods,
  • A large part of the round trip to the country where the institution is located, should be carried out using the above-mentioned environmentally friendly travel methods.
    Using green travel methods only on the way out, only on the way back, or only for a portion of the journey is insufficient to provide support.

* At the end of the activity, documents proving the travel method and dates (tickets, receipts, invoices, official correspondence, etc.) must be submitted along with the return documents, and the green travel support request must be notified. Your request, along with your supporting documents, will be evaluated at the end of the activity.

HOW TO APPLY
Application documents will not be physically delivered to the office. The listed application documents must be uploaded to the required field. The applications of candidates who upload the application documents incompletely will not be accepted. Applications will be accepted between October 9- 22, 2023. The application will be opened on October 9 and closed on October 22, 2023 at 23:59. After the specified date and time, no application or document entry will be made into the system.

  • An invitation letter from the host institution (IT IS NOT NECESSARY DURING APPLIYING)
  • Current Language Certificate
  • Identity Card

Please note that all mobility actions must be completed until July 31, 2024.
