Welcome to the Non-Thesis Master's Program in Distance Education.
Throughout your studies, you can seek support for all academic processes and procedures from the program chair. You can communicate via OIS by sending a message.
You can access the necessary forms and information for your studies on the Graduate School of Education website. Additionally, we recommend that you read the Graduate Education and Training Regulations.
Course Schedule
Course schedules are announced at the beginning of each semester in the announcements section of the Graduate School of Education website.
Course Registration Process
You must select your courses through OIS during the course registration dates specified in the academic calendar and submit them for your advisor’s approval. Course selections not submitted for approval are invalid according to regulations. Your course registration is complete once your advisor approves it. Your OIS username and password are provided in the SMS sent to you.
Accessing Courses
After completing course registration, you can access your courses at olearn.okan.edu.tr. Login is performed using your OIS username and password.
Registered courses can be found under the “Courses” section. By entering the course, you can join via the “Collab” feature. A user guide is available within the system. For any issues related to O’Learn, you may contact master.uzem@okan.edu.tr.
Program Duration
Your enrollment period is three semesters. Within this period, you are expected to complete your courses and prepare your graduation project. The guide can be accessed on the Graduate School of Education homepage under the “Thesis – Project Writing Guidelines” section.
In our distance education programs, exams are conducted as midterms, finals, and make-up exams. Midterm assessments may include assignments, projects, presentations, etc. Final and make-up exams are conducted in person at the Tuzla Campus under supervision, using university computers in a lab setting. Exam dates and seating arrangements are announced on our website.

The guide can be accessed on the Graduate School of Education homepage under the “Thesis – Project Writing Guidelines” section.
Graduation Process
At the graduation stage, you are required to submit the following documents to the Graduate School Secretariat. You can contact the Secretariat at enstitusekreterligi@okan.edu.tr.
Note: The combined result of the Plagiarism Report and AI Usage Report must not exceed 20%.
After submitting the required documents, the graduation procedures will commence.
Graduation Ceremony
At the end of each academic year, a graduation ceremony is held on the date specified in the academic calendar. Participation in the ceremony requires completing the participation form, which is available on our website.
