Non-Thesis Master’s Process

Dear Student,

Welcome to the Non-Thesis Master’s Program.

Throughout your studies, you may receive support from the Program Chair regarding all academic processes and procedures. You may contact the Program Chair by sending a message through the OIS system.

For the procedures required during your studies, you can access the relevant forms and information on the Graduate School’s website. In addition, we recommend that you carefully read the Graduate Education and Training Regulations.

Course Schedule
Course schedules are announced at the beginning of each semester in the Announcements section of the Graduate School’s website.

Course Registration Process
You are required to select your courses through the OIS system and submit them for advisor approval within the course registration dates specified in the academic calendar. Course selections that are not submitted for approval will be considered invalid in accordance with the regulations. Once your advisor approves your selection, the course registration process will be completed.

Your OIS username and password are included in the SMS sent to you.

Program Duration
The duration of the program is three semesters. Within this period, you are required to complete your courses and prepare your graduation project within the same timeframe.

Project Writing Guidelines
You can access the Thesis–Project Writing Guidelines on the main page of the Graduate School under the section titled “Thesis – Project Writing Rules.”

Graduation Process

At the graduation stage, you are required to submit the following documents to the Graduate School Secretariat. You may contact the Secretariat at enstitusekreterligi@okan.edu.tr.

Required Documents:

  • Final Project Evaluation Form
  • 1 Hardbound Copy of the Project
  • 2 CDs containing the project in PDF format
  • Generative Artificial Intelligence Usage Declaration
  • Plagiarism Report (Turnitin, iThenticate, etc.)
  • Artificial Intelligence Usage Report (Pangram)

Note: The combined similarity rate of the Plagiarism Report and the Artificial Intelligence Usage Report must not exceed 20%.

After the required documents are submitted, the graduation procedures will begin.

Graduation Ceremony
A graduation ceremony is held at the end of each academic year on the date specified in the academic calendar. Students who wish to attend the ceremony are required to complete the participation form published on our website.
